Wixzel VoiceVoice AI APILive

Wixzel Voice: APIs for agentic telephony The voice AI API
for building AI phone agents.

Wixzel Voice is a voice AI API for building AI agents that place and answer real phone calls over your own SIP trunk, or talk to people in your web and mobile apps. One API key and one prepaid balance cover every voice engine, billed per second of actual usage.

APIs for agentic telephony, and an MCP server that speaks them.

Not to be confused with

Wixzel Voice is an API and an MCP server for developers and AI clients. It is not a finished agent, not a phone, and not part of another Wixzel product.

IntelliCallAI

A finished, self-hosted voice agent application you buy once and run under your own brand with your own provider keys. Wixzel Voice is the hosted API and MCP server you build your own agents with, paid per second. Different products, same operator.

Wixzel One

An instant app maker on your phone. It has nothing to do with phone calls, and Wixzel Voice is not part of it.

A phone or a number service

Wixzel Voice is not a phone, not a handset, and does not sell or port numbers. It was briefly called Wixzel Phone, from 8 to 29 September 2026. Same product.

Two front doors, and a socket for apps

Write code against the API, or connect an AI client to the MCP server and ask. Both reach the same agents, calls and balance.

HTTP API and SDKs

For developers. One API key for every engine. SDKs for TypeScript (wixzel-voice on npm) and Dart and Flutter (wixzel_voice on pub.dev).

MCP server

For AI clients. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client to mcp.voice.wixzel.com/mcp and it can place and answer real calls when asked. Also on npm as wixzel-voice-mcp.

Realtime WebSocket API

For web and mobile apps. The same agents talk to people inside your app, with no phone line and no SIP trunk.

What you build with

More than a single call. Calls, campaigns, leads, appointments, knowledge bases and webhooks are all in the API.

Calls

Place outbound calls and answer inbound ones on the numbers you already own.

Campaigns

One call per lead, started and paused through the API, up to your account's concurrent-call limit.

Leads

Upload in bulk. Each campaign call records the lead it was placed to.

Appointments

Agents book during the call, and every booking is readable through the API.

Knowledge bases

Upload your own material and attach it to an agent, so answers come from it.

Webhooks

Signed events, such as a completed call, reach your own systems as they happen.

Your own SIP trunk

Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage, Bandwidth, Exotel, Vobiz or any SIP provider.

Indian languages

The sarvam engine speaks Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and more.

Self-hosted edition

Run it on your own servers with a one-time $499 license, described at voice.wixzel.com/self-hosted.

Engines and prices

Per connected minute at typical speech, including orchestration, billed per second from prepaid credit. Your carrier's own rate is separate and stays yours.

How it works

How Wixzel Voice works

Running, in 4 steps.

  1. 01

    Connect your SIP trunk

Add the trunk from your carrier (Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage, Bandwidth, Exotel, Vobiz or any SIP provider) and register the numbers you already own on it. Web and app sessions skip this step.

  2. 02

    Create an agent

Give it a prompt, an opening line, a voice engine and a voice, and attach a knowledge base if it needs one.

  3. 03

Place or answer calls, or open a realtime session

Place a call or start a campaign through the API or the MCP server, assign the agent to a number to answer inbound calls, or open a realtime WebSocket session from your app.

  4. 04

    Read transcripts and per-second usage

Every call and session leaves a transcript, an outcome and its cost, itemised per second against your prepaid balance, and webhooks tell your systems when it ends.

Use cases

What Wixzel Voice is used for

Where it earns its place.

Appointment booking

Build an agent that answers your existing number, offers the slots you allow, and books into the appointments API while the caller is on the line.

Outbound lead qualification

Upload leads, start a campaign, and have your agent call each one, ask the qualifying questions, and read each call's transcript and outcome through the API.

Inbound support from a knowledge base

Attach a knowledge base to an agent and route your support number to it, so callers get answers from your own material and every call is transcribed.

Indian-language agents

Use the sarvam engine for agents that speak Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and more, over an Indian carrier such as Exotel or Vobiz.

Voice agents inside web and mobile apps

Open a realtime WebSocket session from a browser or a Flutter app and talk to the same agent, with no phone line involved.

Phone calls from AI agents via MCP

Connect the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and a call becomes one step an AI agent can take, asking you before it dials.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Wixzel Voice.

What is Wixzel Voice?
Wixzel Voice is a voice AI API for building AI agents that place and answer real phone calls over your own SIP trunk, or talk to people in your web and mobile apps. One API key and one prepaid balance cover every voice engine, billed per second of actual usage. It comes as an HTTP API with TypeScript and Dart SDKs, and as an MCP server that Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client can use. The site is voice.wixzel.com.
How is Wixzel Voice different from IntelliCallAI?
IntelliCallAI is a finished, self-hosted voice agent application that you buy once and run under your own brand with your own provider keys. Wixzel Voice is the hosted API and MCP server you build your own agents with, paid per second from a prepaid balance. They are different products from the same operator, Wixzel, founded by Aqeel Shamsudheen, who built IntelliCallAI first.
Is Wixzel Voice a phone, or part of Wixzel One?
Neither. Wixzel Voice is not a phone, not a handset and not a number service. It is an API and an MCP server. Wixzel One is a separate Wixzel product, an instant app maker on your phone, and has nothing to do with phone calls. Wixzel Voice was briefly called Wixzel Phone, from 8 to 29 September 2026; it is the same product.
Does Wixzel Voice sell phone numbers or minutes?
No. You bring your own SIP trunk from Twilio, Telnyx, Plivo, Vonage, Bandwidth, Exotel, Vobiz or any SIP provider, and use the numbers you already have there. Wixzel Voice does not sell or port numbers and does not resell minutes, so your carrier's rates stay yours.
What does a minute of Wixzel Voice cost?
It depends on the voice engine. Per connected minute at typical speech, including orchestration: gemini-live $0.0466, sarvam $0.0623, classic $0.0867 and deepgram-agent $0.1851, plus your carrier's own rate. Usage is billed per second from prepaid credit. The minimum top-up is $5, with no subscription and no free tier.
Can Claude or ChatGPT place phone calls with Wixzel Voice?
Yes, through the Wixzel Voice MCP server. Connect the hosted server at mcp.voice.wixzel.com/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, and the assistant can set up an agent, place and answer real calls over your SIP trunk, and read the transcripts when you ask. The same server is on npm as wixzel-voice-mcp.
Which languages can Wixzel Voice agents speak?
The sarvam engine is built for Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali. The gemini-live, classic and deepgram-agent engines cover English and other languages, and the API lists the languages and voices each engine supports.
Can I use Wixzel Voice in a web or mobile app without a phone line?
Yes. The realtime WebSocket API puts the same agents inside your web and mobile apps with no SIP trunk and no phone number. Your server mints a short-lived session, the app streams audio, and the session is billed per second from the same prepaid balance as a call.
Can I self-host Wixzel Voice?
Yes. A self-hosted edition is available for a one-time $499 license. Details are at voice.wixzel.com/self-hosted.
